- Helpful tip to engage the rim to the backboard: 1-Lay the backboard and post on the ground so that the front of the backboard is facing up. 2-Put the rim in the backboard and use your foot to push it in on each side where the rim connects to the backboard. 3-You will hear or feel that it has snapped in place.
