A Note of Confidence from Little Tikes and MGA
We have built our reputation on making safe, durable products. The safety of children is our number one priority. Little Tikes is confident that the testing procedures we have (and have had in place) throughout our organization supports our commitment to ensure that only high quality, safe products, meeting all safety requirements are produced. Little Tikes utilizes independent, industry-recognized, third-party testing laboratories to ensure that our products are safe and meet or in most cases, exceed the applicable global safety standards.
Little Tikes products are regularly tested and retested safe for lead and other heavy metals. We also do not use BPA, latex or harmful PVC and/or phthalates.
Little Tikes strives toward higher than required standards to ensure that we not only meet the acceptable limits of compliance, but more often exceed them. Little Tikes tests every product to ensure 100% compliance with the entire Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) including phthalates and lead content in both surface coatings as well as in every component.
Little Tikes proudly makes most of our products in the U.S.A. at our Ohio manufacturing facility. We want to clearly communicate the country of origin of our products to our consumers because we understand that you want to make informed purchasing decisions.
To help you understand our labeling, which we use on our retail packaging and on our website, we have put together the product label key below:
"Made in U.S.A." will appear on all toys that are made and assembled in the U.S. and satisfy Federal Trade Commission requirements that "virtually all" of the product and its parts are U.S. made. Pursuant to the Federal Trade Commission guidelines, some Little Tikes products that are labeled as "Made in U.S.A." may include imported parts that are not integral to the play of the toy and are of a minimal value compared to the remainder of the product. If a Little Tikes product includes separate foreign-sourced accessory components these will be identified for consumers on the website and packaging.
"Made in U.S.A. with US and Global Components" will appear on toys substantially made and assembled in the U.S. with mostly U.S.-made components and some imported parts. Any product made outside the USA will identify the country of origin and 100% of these products also undergo rigorous quality and safety testing by independent third-party laboratories and adhere to the same high-quality standards that we apply to all Little Tikes products. We certify that toys manufactured by Little Tikes meet the following standards as applicable in the countries to which our toys are shipped:
Toys distributed in the USA meet or exceed ASTM F963: “Standard Consumer Specification on Toy Safety” Toys distributed outside the USA meet or exceed international toy safety standard “EN-71 Safety of Toys. When you purchase one of our products, you can be confident it has been tested beyond industry standards and has met all federal requirements.
