My daughter really wanted to play basketball. This seemed like the best thing for her. She has enjoyed playing with it. I like the product as a whole but I wish the connection between the rim and hoop had a tighter fit, it falls apart every now and again

The Little Tykes Customer Service Department told me how to trouble shoot the problem that I was having with the item (the basketball net would not stay in the backboard.) I laid the backboard on the floor and then pressed the plastic slot into the backboard. Then i pressed it with my foot until I heard a "pop" on each side. Now it stays where it belongs. I'm happy!

A great buy for the preschoolers ; our grandchildren will use this inside and out at our house. We purchased an extra set of basketballs as well. The best part was avoiding mall shopping and letting the company handle the shipping which was prompt and efficient.

Our 13-month-old grandson loves this! The height adjustment will allow him to use it for a very long time. Excellent hand-eye coordination involved with this toy. As always, Little Tykes is indestructible. I purchased several Little Tykes toys for my children (ages 25 and 29 now), and we are continuing the tradition with our grandchildren.

I want to commend Robin at Little Tykes! I have never had such excellent customer service! I left an e-mail on their Website about receiving 2 of another item I had ordered (instead of one). It may have been my fault--not certain. Anyway, Robin called me in less than 24 hours and solved my problem. I called again about not receiving another item (4th of 5 boxes shipped), and she called me again the next day in less than 24 hours! I have never seen such excellent customer service, especially just before Christmas! I cannot say enough good things about their customer service (and Robin). Thank you, Robin!

Little Tikes has done it again--great sturdy product that is sure to last for years. Santa brought this for our youngest (almost 2). He loves it, as does his older brother (7) and older sister (5). In fact, so does just about every kid that comes over. And don't forget adults--they play as well. The hoop can be raised or lowered fairly easily by an older child and we do that often depending on who is playing. Our basketball set is in our foyer since it is cold out and it's good practice/exercise/fun for all. Santa brought the 4 pack of small balls to go with it and those are a must have, too. Highly recommend--one of the best gifts Santa brought this Christmas!

This basketball hoop is so much fun for my whole family. We bought it for our 3-year-old daughter to help channel her always-on-the-go high energy into an organized physical activity. The most wonderful thing I find is that it gives all of us (toddler, Mom and Dad) a chance to play spontaneously together in our own home property. Our toddler just has a blast shooting basketballs and chasing them as they rebound across the ground. It is wonderful to watch her coordination improve, literally by the minute. It is great fun!

In terms of assembly, setup is fairly straight-forward right out of the box. The plastic pieces fit together easily and require no special tools. The basketball netting attaches easily to the hoop. The assembly directions are printed clearly on the outside of the box, and they are easy to understand.

The hollow lightweight plastic base arrives empty, however; so while the basketball hoop is functional, it is not stable. The hoop topples over easily and this poses the risk of injury to a small child in my opinion. As stated in the product description, the basketball hoop has the capacity to be filled with and anchored by 40 lbs. of sand. Ultimately, we needed to purchase sand at our local hardware store (because it is not included in Little Tykes transaction). The only drawback is it takes additional time and energy to find sand, buy it, and haul it back home. It takes two adults working as a team to slowly funnel the sand into the base. (My only suggestion to improve upon this is for Little Tykes to offer the option of purchasing sand through its website, so the two products could be delivered to customers' doorsteps simultaneously.) This is still a minor hassle compared to all the great fun of playing basketball.

It is worth the time and energy investment. This basketball hoop truly is fun for the whole family.

I bought this for my grandson when he was about 18 mo. old, because he was already CRAZY about basketball! It's the first toy that has held his attention for hours. It's the first thing he plays with every morning! His parents have brought it with them (they live out of town) to our house so he can enjoy it & entertain us! Today I picked up this same toy (in fairly good shape) at a garage sale so they don't have to lug theirs across the state anymore. We bought this for our son who turned 2. He LOVES basketball. We're using it in the house for now and we still need to add sand, but my 2 year old and 4 year old play with it all the time. We love that it is adjustable, but our youngest would rather have it high and use a stool to shoot. It also provides great exercise. The net sometimes comes off a hook or two and the neck gets a little wobbly the higher the setting, but it doesn't effect their ability to play or shoot, and I think sand in the base will help as well. Its very durable and a great purchase at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this to any of our friends and family.

I bought this as a Christmas gift and had it shipped directly to them. The only thing that this company could do is to have a gift box to check so they wouldn't have received how much it cost. This is perfect for my 1-1/2 year-old son and 3-1/2 year-old daughter. The lowest height settings is perfect for their age. The other two settings will be great as they get older. I like that we can put sand or water into the base of the basketball to stablize it for outdoor use. I'm not sure that we will do that, but I like that I have that option. This is perfect for outdoor and indoor use!

My son LOVES this toy!! It's great with one small exception. The collar lock wears out easily and needs to be replaced. Dispite that, I would still recommend and buy this product. Hopefully the company will fix the toy so it doesn't happen to more people in the futre.

very fun for child and adult to play together.rewarding for a small child to actually reach basket and be able to score. i would't recommend for older children though-probably would not stand up to rough play.portability is nice feature too.

We bought this product for my daughter almost 4 years ago. She now shares it with her younger brother. Their daddy also loves to play with his younger brothers and sisters with this learning toy. Please get this one. Its the best you wont regreat it!! I promise

You need to stand on each side of the rim and force it into the backboard,you will hear a popping sound on each side then you will know it is locked into the backboard-if it is not locked it will fall. This is the best basketball unit for little ones to start with, I have given it over and over again to friends and family
