We bought this for our now 5 year old daughter when she was about 2. It's lasted through both her and my now 2-year-old son, who's already wanting to be pitched to! My husband ruined a couple of the balls when he took a turn, but no problem ordering extras online!! Also glad the bat is lightweight for when they struggle over who's turn it is... :)

Shame on little tikes for not selling or offering replacement balls. My kids really liked this toy, but after a year all of the balls are missing or destroyed. I've tried a variety of other plastic balls on the market and none of them fit. Additionally, there is NO recycling information on the plastic, so it doesn't appear to be recyclable. I now have a large piece of worthless plastic ready for the landfill. Shame on you little tikes - I hope you do not call yourself an environmentally friendly company!

I bought this for my son when he was 2. He played with it in our basement in the winter and the yard in the summer. All of the neighborhood kids took whacks on it too.
My son is now 7 playing in the coach pitch league. He can really hit the ball better than his teammates and I think all of this coordination came from this Little Tikes toy.

My two granddaughters can play "softball" without grandma having to pitch and run! The younger one is gaining more confidence in her ability to hit the ball. It has a sound to tell them the ball is coming up which is absolutely great. Highly recommend.
