I bought it for my granddaughter. I had hoped it would help her with her colors. What a disappointment. There were no color cards, only a black and white copy
Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
[...] It would be so much more educational, having the kids match the colors to play a real song! Now the only thing she can do on it is aimlessly tap away, which she does love. But for the price WE WANT MORE!!! We want what's advertised!!!
Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
Like the toy, but where is the color coated song sheet? On the box it has the colored cards...we got a black and white sheet of paper. I wonder why some are writing that their toy included the color cards and some (like ours) didn't? I feel weird writing this, because we don't like to whine. But I figure it might help the company with quality control.

My son received this as a present for his first birthday. He loved it from the start. Now that he is almost three, he has rediscovered it and tries to play songs now. I do agree with some of the other reviewers that the cord is short, but now that he is older, I just untied the cord and he can get some really good sound out of it!! We did have the color coded cards for the songs, but have since misplaced them. A printable songbook would be great from Little Tikes.

I agree there was no card with color code music. I looked on our box and it did not have this either. It did have a picture of a girl playing and she had a card. But it only showed one song. If this web site would put a color printable card I am sure my 5 yr old neice would enjoy this toy too when she comes to play. Great toy with or with out the card.

The color coded sheet music is in card-board form on the back of the box, nimrod reviewers! Would like to get MORE color-coded songs.

Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
I am REALLY annoyed that the sheet music was on regular paper and in black and white! As others have stated the picture and description on the box shows color "cards". After searching the packaging over and over, the only sheet music included was on paper and in black and white. Useless for my two year old, and no color versions avaiable on site. Other than that it seems to be a great toy.

Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
The lack of a colorized music sheet, which is shown on the website and on the packaging was very disappointing. and while I understand the necessity to have a shortened cord from a risk management/corporate standpoint, it does make it more difficult to use the toy as intended.

Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
Music was supposed to be in color so they can play, but was printed in black and white.
Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
My son is under a year but loooves this toy and the music.
Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
The music sheet was in black and white, so not useful at all. VERY DISAPOINTING!
Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
This was a Christmas present along with the drum. With all the presents it didn't seem this was a good choice. I was taking a shower and I heard the drum, I came out and my husband and my grandson were playing the instruments and invited me to sing. My grandson plays with it every time he comes to visit. My only complaint is that the sample song book is part of the packaging and so was thrown out by accident.
Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
All my kids (15 months-5 years) love playing with this toy! I would recommend this basic toy to anyone.

Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
The instrument itself if durable and well made; however, it is almost impossible to play it with any ease. The cord is very short (for anti-strangling reasons probably) and is attached in the middle of the instrument; therefore, it can't be pulled around and greatly frustrates the child.

I really like this toy for our daughter. She enjoys it at daycare, so we got one for home... I agree with the previous review that music sheet should be color coded like the one pictured on the back of the box. Or offer color coded song sheets for download on your website.
Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
My son loves it but I have 2 complaints. 1. Mine didn't come with the song sheets :( and 2. The string seems a little too short on the wand. But other than that, it serves it's purpose.
Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
This product didnt come with the color-coded sheet music that the box indicated. The one we received with it was in black and white so we couldnt play any of the songs. A useless piece of paper. It didnt even have a stand for the music that the picture shows.
Comments about Little Tikes Tap-a-Tune® Xylophone:
The toy is awesome. My granddaughter was captivated by this toy right out of the box. My only complaint is I wish the music sheet was color coded like the one pictured on the back of the box. It would make it a lot easier for those of us who aren't musicians. Maybe even offer color coded song sheets on your website. Very high quality toy, though. Thanks!

This full 8 key xylophone is what you really need to play music. I can play about 50 nursery rhymes and Christmas tunes that my 6 month old just loves. I can hardly wait until he grows up and I can teach him how to play music himself. My mother-in-law has had Tap-a-Tune for a number of years and it has held up beautifully.
