We got this as a present for my son's second birthday. The kids had a blast with it. After trying to empty it I got online for some help and noticed several people had the same problem. I looked and looked for a resolution for days with no avail. I had even considered cutting the little pouch used to make the ball stationary if preferred as another on here had mentioned. I wanted to keep that as a last resort because once cut could not be used to serve that purpose again. I thought and thought and finally came up with a simple anwser. I noticed that water would drip out of the valve where the air should go. Problem was in order to get it out you have to sit there and squeeze it together for an endless amount of time. I don't think it is supposed to fill up like that because there is tubing inside the ball that leads to each sprinkler knob but I am assuming that they leak which causes the ball to fill up. Anyhow long story short, I put a plastic straw into the valve to keep it open and keep water flowing. As soon as most of the water was out and I was able to pick the ball up I could squeeze out the rest. I know that the air tends to come out as well but getting the water out easily is worth refilling it to me. After all the water is out I just blow it back up to let the inside dry completely and VOILA success! I know it sounds kind of crazy, but whatever works right?? I'm sure you could use different things to keep the valve open but the kids love to play with it and as long as this method keeps working for me than we are all happy.

I bought this sprinkler for my son last year and he only used it a couple of times and it worked fine. This year the second time it was used, the ball started filling with water. One of the hoses that is supposed to spray the water out fell down inside and leaked into the ball itself. I had bought this as a present for another child and wished that I hadn't. Nothing I would reccommend. Although my son had fun with it while it lasted.

I bought this product for my son's 2nd birhtday party, it was a beach theme. I loved how this sprinkler worked it was really fun for the kids...but...after we used it the ball was full of water and there was no way od getting it out. I had to pull out a plastic membrane (used to hold the ball in place when it was on) and cut it off anf then the water came out of a small hole and so did the air. Basically, everytime I want to empty it now I have to fill it up with some air....other than that a great sprinkler.

ALL of my daycare kids love this ball!! Even my little guy who is terrified of "sprinklers!"
As for the other comments on emptying the ball, I just opened the valve and let it sit (valve side down) over night. It was drained and ready to be blown up again and used the next morning.
We love it.

Easy to inflate and fill with water....terrible to empty. The instructions that come with it don't say anything about how to empty it. Need to make it easier to empty. Please, Little Tikes is a trusted name to many parents...this is a little disappointing on how hard it is to maintain. No wonder there on clearance everywhere you look.

This was a great price and would've been a great product for kids to have some backyard fun. But it deflated w/in a couple hours and not worth trying to patch or fix. Would defintely buy again but if it was of better quality.

My 2 year old daughter loves this sprinkler! The water comes out very softly which is great for little ones. My daughter loves to toss it around and push it all over the yard. She also loves how colorful it is. Very fun toy. I even bought one as a gift for friends and those kids love it too. Those kids are 5 and 3, so it is good for those ages as well.

My kids love playing with this, but we can't figure out how to get the water out. Everytime we use it the water level inside the ball increases,my kids couldn't even roll it around today. If anyone know how to get the water out please post the answer.

This is the second one I have bought so I was hoping the product had improved. Well, it has not. It is a fun toy for 3-5 year olds. My daughter loves it, but it is it is really, really, hard to empty the water. This affects durability in that you can't get the water out and after a while it ends up being trashed. I do not plan to buy a third one. I would tell other parents to buy it if there are no other choices in sprinklers. But if there is buy the other choice.

This product is great for a hot summer day. I have three kids...11, 4, and 2 and they all love it. Seems very durable and the water sprays out in all directions quite a ways. We have a smaller front lawn, so I can let the kids play with this while watering my entire lawn!!

Although my 2 year old was a little afraid to get wet at first....I was very impressed with it. We used it about 6 times and then planned to use it for my son's 2nd birthday party. It broke and it wouldn't spray the water out on his special day! Imagine that. It was fun while it lasted though.

The first and only time I used it was very unsuccessful! I don't know if it is just me, but I hooked the ball up and it worked great... for less then 10 seconds. Some kind of mechanism inside of it broke and the whole ball filled with water.

This has been a great toy for my toddler! It gives kids a lot of fun-time in the sun and cools them down in the process!
Just hooks up to a garden hose and away you go!
Kids can kick it around and get wet, or just have it stationary and run thru the water spouts as they spray!
It's a great toy and I would purchase this again for a gift!
