Even my just now 1 year old can get her toys. The lid comes off, so until she is a little bigger and we put it back on, I feel that she is safe and won't have a lid slam back on her.

These toy chests are great for toddlers' toys & books. I have bought 2 of them now for my great-grand children and they are very useful. The parents really appreciate the size of them because there is plenty of room even for some of the larger toys. Thanks so much!

I bought a lightblue and yellow toy chest for my son 3 yrs. ago, and it still looks brand new. What appealed to me in purchasing this toy chest was the design and the materials used to make this chest. I did not want a character toybox that was made out of particle board which could eventually fall apart and hurt my son. I know this chest will last as long as my son still needs a toy chest. In fact my daughter is now 2 yrs. old, and I am looking to buy her a pink one of the same kind for Christmas. [...]Nothing needs improvement in my opinion about this toy chest.

I have two children with autism. We have A LOT of toys we use in therapy to teach them. I was able to fit three baskets of toys in this wonderful toy box! This toy box is not so big that it takes over the whole play room, but it holds all the toys we need it to hold. It is sturdy and easy to keep clean. The lid hasn't caused any problems for us. We also love the storage underneath for smaller items.

I bought this for my grandsons 1st birthday-my daughters apartment was small and needed something for all the toys. The stores around town had nothing to offer that were safe and durable. So I went online and looked up Little Tikes because that is what my daughter had when she was little. I was thrilled to find a toy chest for my grandson. I know it will last for years and it is nice and deep and fits all his toys -large and small.

We started looking around a couple years ago for my sons first toy box. We were thinking about getting him one of those wooden ones that were painted with characters and you could shut lid and sit on. They were very pricey and we still thought oh but they are so cute. Then I saw Little Tykes toy box and right away bought it. Its sturdy, plenty of room, easy for my son to open, and the two drawers are very convenient or as my son says his secret drawers. Great buy and great quality. I'm glad we got this one instead of that small wooden one because my son would have already scratched that thing to pieces, plus my son can get in this toy box and sit and play in it. Too Funny!

We have 2. The first one (light blue) we bought on my first sons 2nd b-day it fits all his big trucks and Mama was in love. When our daughter's first x-mas came she did not have many toys yet but we knew she would soon so Santa bought her one also. She has had hers (pink) 3 years and it is the best dress up chest in the playroom. We now also have another boy and I am about to by him the red one. He has some developmental delays and we are looking for a way to store all his physical and therapeutic toys in our living room. This box has not only fit our needs in many ways but we keep coming back and getting a new one for each child. They are light wight and easy to move. Only issue we had in it was once milk got spilled in it. My husband took it outside to spray down with the hose and after we had issues getting the water out. He ended up drilling some holes into the bottom and solved the problem. This is a must have toy box for any child.

We bought this when my son was 1 and he is now over 2 and its still in perfect condition. The top is easy for him to lift and put down by himself and he loves the little bins for his cars. Plus it still has room for him to grow into it a bit. All in all great purchase!

I love beautiful, heavy hard wood furniture. Unfortunately when it comes to toy chests... heavy is not a consideration. My son's nursery has bright primary colors so this toy chest is a perfect match. It holds so many items, with room to spare and the hidden drawers underneath keep all the smaller toys in order. This piece is heavy duty and we're looking forward to years of use.

I purchased this about 5 months ago. It has been great!!! It has plenty of space, and my two children (4yo & 16mos) share a room, so toy storage is a MUST!!! I was worried about the drawers and the lid not being attatched in any way, but it has not been a problem at all. I love the colors especially since it is nuetral!

We have our toddler's toys in it, and we like it so much that we might purchase a 2nd one! We really like the 2 pull out drawers, which are perfect for the smaller toys/pieces that would be difficult to reach in the bottom of the toy chest. We are very happy with this toy chest!!

I love this toy box. It's perfect for my son's room, it matches his colors perfectly. It's large enough to fit all his bulky toys in and the bins below are great for all his "like" toys. It's a great toy chest...sturdy and tough. However, the lid should have some sort of way to fasten or click into place rather than loose. It has fell down on my grandson several times since he got it on Xmas. Also the bottom pullout drawers should have some sort of slot the drawers slide in rather than just on the floor.

I purchased 2 of these, I have two grandsons same age with 2 different personalities. One loves Tomas (so I put Thomas toys in it) the othere likes Spiderman, so he got spiderman gifts in his. It helps to learn to get organized.

The only problem that I have is that I have a 20 month old and he likes to take the lid off and stand on it and he doesn't realize how heavy the lid is until he gets his fingers slammed in it. Other than that it is a great box. We will just have to take the lid off until we are big enough to have the lid on our box.

I was disappointed that the botton two drawers were navy blue and not yellow to go with the primary colors of the table that I ordered. If I had paid attention I would not have ordered it to match the table. If the yellow becomes available I would be happy to purchase them and then I would be 100 percent HAPPY!

This is the best toy box I have ever seen. Very safe, strong and sturdy. I have a different color for each of my kids. Kids sure know how to abuse things (I have all boys) and the toy boxes are in perfect shape. We have used them for about 4 years of rough play and still haven't had a single injury from or problem with the toy boxes.
