I've been reading reviews that stated that this was hard to set up, or that certain pieces don't fit correctly. I saw what they were saying, and I found a simple solution. once you have all four sides (the 2 B's and the 2 C's) into the base (A), the "D" peices (there are four of them) hammer them into the long sides first (B), and then get on the other long side, and 'hug' it toward you with your left arm, it should fit when you start to hammer. Depending on you handy you are, you may need 2 people. I was able to do this by myself. (not bragging, just saying it is possible) I hope this was helpful to future buyers of this product, and don't forget to watch your fingers!

This toy box is huge! The lid is easy for a child to get into and you don't have to worry about them hurting their fingers. I ordered it for my grandsons 1st birthday and received it in a few days. I would definately order from here again!

The assembly seemed easy enough but the included for the inside of the toy box for stabilization do not fit well. You're supposed to hammer them in but everything pops off when you hammer. More importantly the tabs do not fit the slots to hammer into. It still holds together but for how long?

This is the second giant toy box we've purchased. The first one still looks new after about ten years of use. I would have given this toy box five stars if the plastic fittings had not been so difficult to place during assembly. Once assembled, however, the box is very sturdy and easy for kids to use.

My father got this toy box as a christmas gift for my son it's a very nice toy box and can hold alot of toy's that my little boy will be getting over the year's. The only thing I do not like about it is that the lid come's all the way off it's hard for my 1 and half year old to get into with the lid on so the lid just stay's off overall very nice.

We do keep the lid off it is a bother everytime she wants something we have to remove the lid.. so we leave it off.. sturdy, large capacity... Great toybox for a playroom ...

My father got this toy box for my 1 and half year old son for christmas. Overall it's a very nice toy box and can hold lot's of toy's that my little boy will be getting over the year's the only thing I do not like about it is that the lid come's all the way off so it's hard for him to get into with out help so for the most part the lid just stay's off beside's that a very nice toy box.

We were surprised that the toy chest did not go together easily, the holes did not line up and we ended up using glue to secure one of the interior hinges in place because it kept falling out. The lid is described as detachable, which is the only option. It does not open with a hinge system and cannot remain in the open position. It is either on or off, so we have to leave it off to prevent our toddler from hurting himself. I would have expected a bit more quality from Little Tikes. I think the picture in the advertisement is deceiving. Moments later, the cumbersome lid is going to slide off awkwardly until your furniture stops it.

I got this for my sons room a couple of years ago. It works great for holding bigger, cumbersome toys and trucks. The only down side is the lid doesn't attach. I didn't want him to hurt himself with it so we just set it aside in a nearby closet so the top is exposed. Other than the lid not attaching, this is a great product!

the lid is removable which is a bit uncomfortable i would have prefferred it just lifted up like a trunk and stayed up till you close it..as oppose to removing it everytime you want to get a toy. also it brings these 4 plastic clips that is what holds it all together and is very difficult to put on..i think screws would have been better..

Toy box is nice & big but the sides do not connect like I would expect from Little Tikes - the connecting pieces do not clip on correctly, so the sides fall off all the time. Its built like a import.

My 2 year old grandson loves this toy box. It holds a lot of the toys, and he can reach most of them. I like the fact that the cover comes completely off so there is no danger of it falling on little ones as they rummage around looking for something. It was very easy to assemble.

Great for holding all those biggere toys! Big downfall is the lid...it doesn't attach so it is hard for the little ones to handle, then when it is off it takes up SO MUCh space. Mine even try to stand on it and have fallen a few time....COMPRIMISE the lip stays up in their closet, only over toybox when company comes

This toy box is great because it's easy to clean, the lid comes off so a child can't get locked inside while playing, and it has plenty of storage space. The only bad thing is that it is hard to pick up and move with no handles and takes up a lot of space.

My son is 13 months and this toy box can fit all his toys in. The only problem I have with this toy box is that each side of the toy box will not connect & only 2 of the small piece would contact inside of the box. But I guess that is fine since he doesnt have alot of toys.

When I decided to buy this, I needed the large size but I thought that the lid would atleast attach somewhat. The ad said it "detached" which I thought meant that it attached in the back. It doesn't at all so my kids have a hard time lifting the lid. I love the size but I'm not happy with the lid.

This toy chest was able to hold all my son's toys. It is very roomy and by far, the largest chest I've been able to find on the market. Also, it blends well with my family room decor and we've received a lot of compliments from friends and family. The only con is the brackets that support the ends of the chest are very difficult to fix. Overall, I have no regrets with this purchase and give it five thumbs up....

My 4 year old loves it, it's durable and easy to clean and holds a lot of toys. Real easy to put together.

This toybox is 99.9% perfect. Its large and it holds everything, the only negative is the lid. I just don't understand who thought up this lid where you have to take it off to access the toybox. Since we bought two of these toyboxes, both lids, which are very large themselves, are now stored in a closet taking up a lot of room. If the lid was actually attached this would be perfect. If you want a giant toybox, this is your best bet, if you require a lid that is attached, or is easily opened and stored, this is not for you.

This toy box would be perfect if it wasn't for the dent in the lid. I was quite disappointed with that. I would have returned it but I see they don't have any more in stock :( Anyway, this is a great size for a toy box. I have never seen bigger. It's nicer looking in person than the photo. On the photo you don't notice the design on the white part of the toy box. It's really cute.

This toy box is the best I could find so far for active boys. The colors work well for a boys room, and the plastic is very sturdy. I was amazed by how much could fit in this toy box. B/c the box gets wider at the top, you can fit so much more than other toy boxes with narrower openings. We could even fit all of those big toys (like machines and monster trucks) that wouldn't fit in other toy boxes. The major con is that the lid is heavy and not attached to the box, so the boys(2 and 4) have a really hard time getting it off. I have to take it off in the morning for them and put it back on at night. Overall, the best toy box I have found so far, just wish Little Tikes would do something about that heavy lid!

We love the Giant toy box that we bought for our son. We have it in the corner of our family/play room, and it holds all of his toys...and on occasion even our son! He loves to get in the toy box and play with his toys.
Although, I noticed that the toy box had slots for dividers but didn't come with dividers (only certain ones come with them). So I need to find out if I can buy dividers for our toy box, because I would like to divide my son's toys by sizes so we could find things a little easier! Other then that, we think it's a great product.

I was disappointed to see the molded images on the exterior of the box... They were certainly not visible in the image of this product on your website. I have a 5 month old little boy and this toy box has room for all his toys and some. I was very pleased how big it actually was. Compared to the other toy boxes I found this one was the cheapest and in my opinion the best. He can climb on it and play in it and never get hurt. The wood toy boxes scare me a little so I definitely knew I wanted to get him a little Tikes toy box like the one I had growing up.

This is a great toybox. I wanted something durable with a lid that is removable for safety purposes. No sharp corners. My son is learning how to pull himself up and he uses this box sometimes. I feel confident in knowing that he will not hurt himself being around this box.

Cheapest box I found that was durable and safe!!

My only issue (very minor) is that it was a little hard to assemble by myself (had to get someone to help). You have these little plastic pieces that help hold the sides together and to get it to work, you have to SQUEEZE the box very tightly. Nearly impossible alone.

I had to sacrifice the nice wooden chests for this type because it was the only one large enough to fit my son's bulky toys. It has a neat appearance and light weight so I can move it into another room if needed. VERY easy and fast to assemble. I like that the top is not attached.
