This toy was not very useful for newborns, but once my twin boys could sit up, they really started to enjoy it. I sit them in a little seat and turn it so that they can reach the buttons and spinners. It keeps their attention for a little bit. There are no volume settings, and I think the music is a little loud and startling at first, but the boys don't seem to mind. From this stage on (about 4-5 months), I can see this being a great toy. When they were smaller and I laid them under it, their legs were too long for them to be under where the spinners face down and their arms were to short to reach any of the spinners anyway. It was just very awkward. That "kick pad" was not very easily activated, and they usually just kicked themselves out from under it! In that respect, I would say this is more of a 4 in 1 gym.

I purchased this for my grandson to use when he's at my home. I've only used it once so far and he seems to get really excited with the sounds and colors. He's a heart baby and we need to get him interested in playtime. This seems to fit the purpose just fine so far. Hopefully he'll continue to be stimulated by the item.

I bought this Activity/Adjustable Gym for my second Granddaughter. She has some handed down play mats from big sister, but she needed something a little different. My Daughter-in-law has a friend that had this Adjustable Gym and was very impressed with all the activities and how it adjusted to age appropriate activities. In fact, the 2 year old thinks when it's sitting up without sister playing under it that it's for her to play with too! Very cute. However, it was bought for the 3 month old and she just loves it. She will contentedly play under it for Mommy to get some work done close by. It was a great purchase and one that I'm sure will get plenty of use over the next few months.

we got this for our 1 year old for Christmas from Santa. She loved it and so did our 2 year old. They would both sit on it and push the buttons to hear the music or create sounds. we were not able to use the earlier stages but i am sure that our girls would have loved that stage too. Definitly held her attention during her entire first Christmas opening gift experience so that tells you there that it holds their attention. she loves to hear the music and dance along and then sit at it while her older sister sits at her desk. great product would buy again for other kids.

My complaint is with the description from Little Tykes. My grandson suffers from seizures and can not have lots of flashing lights. The description of this toy never mentions lights. It says it is motion activated. That does not necessarily mean lights. I purchased the item and was devastated when I opened it and found the flashing lights. Poor communication by the company. Great toy, but not right for my situation. A better description would have been nice.

I was very excited about this gift. I liked the fact that it "grows" with the baby. I bought 2 for my two 5 month old grandchildren. I didn't like the fact that when they put their feet on the bottom footrest, the entire thing would scoot away from the baby.

I really like this baby gym and so does both my daughters. It's too light weight for my 4 month old, when lying down under it, her legs kick it away from her. My older daughter(2) loves to sit and play on it.

I ordered this toy from Little Tykes. When it came, the toy didnt work in the Motion Mode and the battery compartment would not screw back in. I called to get a replacement and Little Tykes said I had to "deface" the toy with black marker, take a photo and email the picture BEFORE they would replace it. That is a stupid policy so I sent a letter to the CEO of MGA Entertainment to complain. I have not heard back yet. Next, in trying to email the pics to the email I was given, the email bounced multiple times. I called LT again. I finally got someone nice enough to just send a replacement. I just got the replacement yesterday. I went to put it together and there were no predrilled holes, so I had to drill them myself for proper assembly. It still doesnt work in the motion mode. One last thing, my 10 month old (I have twins) got her fingers stuck in the joint of the white drawing table. It was really painful for her. Perhaps LT didn't think about that when they made this toy for young babies. Not impressed with LT in general.

I bought the adjustable gym because my baby is 4 months now and in need of cause and effect toys at this age. I bought the first one before christmas and tried putting it together but a couple of the holes didnt exactly match up. No big deal, i took it back and exchanged it, still liked the toy. Then I brought the second one home and it went together fine and my son had fun with it for a few days....then it started having problems. It would quit playing songs halfway through or would get stuck on a song until you messed with it. I like the toy and its a great idea but Id like to get one that goes together nicely and works. We bought this toy for my 4 month old son for christmas. He seems to be entertained by it, the lights are bright, the music is nice, the toys are entertaining and cute. The only drawbacks are that the music is WAAY too loud and there is no volume controls. I hated to turn it on because the music was so loud and it was so close to my sons face. I just stuck a piece masking tape over the speaker cover and it made the music the perfect level The other drawback was that the toy slides easily on carpet. So if your child is a kicker then they will kick the toy right away from them unless you place the toy against the couch or something. I can only imagine what that will bring when we come to pulling up on things.

I was kind of skeptical of this toy but registered for it. I am SO glad that I received it because my now 2 year old loved it from the time he crawled until well current. My 6 month old daughter is starting to get the hang of it. It really is a cute toy!! I would highly recommend adding it to your collection!! =)

We got this for my son when he was 8 months old for Christmas and he still sits down and plays with it as a 19 month old. He is a very active boy but this holds his attention. It was well worth the money.

I bought this for my 2nd child and we certainly got our money's worth! I bought it when she was 5 months old, and at 17 months, she's still using it just as much! We haven't started using the desk yet; because she's still using the activity center like crazy. This is a definite buy!

This is a really great product! My four month old loves it! When laying on his back, it's convenient because the part above him rotates 360-degrees, allowing us to angle it to suit him.

However, it is really difficult to rotate it-- the buttons you pull get stuck and my husband has to do it. Also, even though we can angle it where some of the toys hang down, he still cannot reach the buttons and such.

Lastly, I wish there was a 'continuous play' button! Being motion/button activated, it's hard to keep him entertained sometimes--especially since he can't reach the buttons to activate it!

I bought this toy for my grandchildren and they love it! The variety of settings meets their various age ranges. They never tire of playing with it!
The only drawback was that assembly was a bit tricky.

My daughter loves this toy. She is 21 months old and has had since she was 3months old. This is the one toy she hasn't gotten tired of. Everytime her grandparents come over she pushes the buttons to make the music play and dances for them. My only problem is her leg getting stuck when she climbs on it. I know its not designed for that but try to tell a toddler not too. If your child is a climber, then make sure you supervise them with this toy.

It holds my sons attention for up to 1/2 hr now... I believe he will continue to use for awhile. He is 4 months. The only thing I don't care for is that it is loud. He cried the first time under it. there is no way to adjust the volume for newborns and infants.

My son loved this product! We had it since he was 4 mos. old and at 3 now, he still occasionally plays with it. But when he was a baby, it was the best! The only complaint would be that the while he was a baby, on his back, if I left the kick plate/seat on, he kicked it away so I would just remove it. That part should be expandable but you can just remove it when they are little on their back. But it really helped him learn to sit up. I would sit him on the seat, put a cushion/pillow behind him and that's how he starting building strength to sit up. Great product!!

We love this! We recieved it as a Christmas gift when my son was 4 months old and he still loves it. The only thing is the instructions dont tell you how to adjust it from stage to stage, there are to bottoms on the underside of actual activity part that allow you to move from stage to stage!

My 8 month old absolutely loves this toy! He can sit on the bench and play or stand up and have fun. The only downside to it is that there is no volume control, only On and Off. And it's loud! There are mutiple sound settings though, (music or just sounds) so those are very nice.

I bought this for my 6mos old for Christmas, and he loves it! The sounds aren't too loud or annoying for parents either.
My baby is learning to walk - he stands up in front of it & pushes it to a solid structure, then plays with it. It's really durable, holds his attention, and he likes to play the music on it. Great Toy!!

This is a great toy that lasts through many stages of growth. I have one granddaughter who stands and plays with it and another who lays down to play with it. I'm confident that each one will enjoy this toy for quite awhile. It easily adjusts to be used by a child at several developmental stages.

I recently wrote a review of this toy and my main problem with the toy was the fact that I couldn't figure out how to adjust it from one phase to the other without unscrewing it. Well, tonight my 2 year old daughter found the solution for me. Under the 2 toys that unfold out of the bigger toy is 2 sliding buttons. If you slide them together, you can adjust the toy to fit into any one of the holes on the side. It has been hidden well and kind of blends in, but they are there. I would now rate this toy a 4 instead of the 3 I prevously gave it. If only now I can figure out how to turn that volume down it would be a 5 star toy.

We purchased this as a Christmas gift for our now 4 month old grandson. It's perfect. The lights and sounds keep his attention and it's so easy for him to activate just by touching it with his feet. This is an okay toy. My 2 year old likes the music and pushing the buttons more than my 7 month old who it was intended for. My baby is learning to stand up and when she leans on this, it slides across the carpet. It needs some grips to keep it in place. Also the volume is very loud. I can't even sit in front of it. It would be good to be able to adjust the volume.

This toy really captures my twins attention! They learn cause and effect and it's age appropriate. We bought this for our 3 month old twins for their 1st Christmas. It's adorable to see them kick and learn how to light up the board thus 'cause and effect'. It gives infants an opportunity to problem solve as they learn their part. I bought this for my 8 month old, who is becoming mobile and he loves it! He sits on the floor or on the bench to play. I wish I had bought this when he was an infant for him to use while laying down as well. The only problem is if it is not against the wall, he can push it across the floor while playing sometimes.

WE really like this gym. I wanted something that would grow with my child and last several years. He is 6 months old now so it is still in the infant position. It is very easy to change into the various positions. My only con is it's very loud! I wish there was a volume button. Normally when something is this loud I will muffle the volume with some tape but the speakers are right on the front of the toy making that impossible.

This toy is overall very good. The music however is too loud-we put masking tape over the speaker so our 12 wk old son would not be scared by the loudness of the music. Songs are nice, but very tinny, not soft/subtle. Better for older kids I guess. Mirror on the toy is only a sticker & was coming off when we rec'd the toy-very disappointing, but not enough to hassle w/ return through mail....Would probably buy again, but w/ a few minor improvements, this would be an even better toy!

This toy needs a volume contol button and it is really difficult to adjust the settings. I have to take it completely apart to adjust it from an infant toy to the stand up or sit up kind for toddlers.

I bought this for my three month old son hoping it would entertain him long enough for me to shower, cook dinner, etc. The problem is that the music is very loud. It usually scares him, and there is no volume control. It has a motion setting which means the music plays when he hits the dangling toys. However, he is so long bodied that in order to lay him where his hands can reach the toys, his feet hit the kick board and move the whole toy. And if I position it where his feet kick the toys, he has trouble seeing the mirror or lights unless I prop him on a pillow. His three year old brother, however, loves it. I hope when my baby is sitting up, he'll enjoy the toy more and the noise won't bother him as much.

My 8 1/2 daughter loves this toy. I set it up for her to use as an activity bar when she was younger, but it was too loud so I held off until she was older. She loves it now, she stands at it and pushes the keys and plays with the movable toys. It would be nice to be able to adjust volume. It almost seems too loud with a child so near. I usually turn it on the "keys" option so the songs aren't playing, and it doesn't seem so loud.

We got this as a gift and I started using it when my daughter was 3months old. She is awed by the sounds and lights and is learning fast on cause and effect. However, assembly was not good. The plastic sides where you put in the screws didn't have holes so the screws didn't go in all the way and some of the screws stick out. Its also not that easy to turn the activity table.

I purchased the 5-in-1 adjustable gym to have at home when my grandaughter visits based on the recommendations of Parents Magazine. My grandaughter was 3 months old at the time of my purchase and she is now almost 9 months old and very active. She was fascinated by the sounds and sights when she was only able to lie on her back and kick. Now that she is crawling and pulling up she enjoys standing and stepping around as she plays with the attached toys and sound makers. She enjoys experimenting with cause and effect. I think she will enjoy this toy through toddler-hood when she can sit on the bench and use the surface to play with the attachments or use the toy as a table top surface to explore many other activities with me. Very versatile and well made toy. Lives up to all expectations!

I purchased this toy for my twin granddaughters, they are 41/2 months old and seem to love this toy. They can both lay down side by side and kick at the same time. I don't know yet how they will do as they get older but it does seem to be big enough for both to enjoy together at the same time even when they are able to sit up on it as a desk. I would buy this toy again.

My son likes this item but its very light weight plastic. It doesn't hold his weight and seems very flimsy. We have to hold it or push it against something every time he plays with it or it will move. It would also be nice it there was a volume control.

This toy has been great for our son. It is very easy to transition it from stage to stage as well (you dont have to take it all apart - Just click of a button really). I put it together in about 10 minutes as well. It is so nice to have toys that grow with your child. I would highly reccomend this!
