Cute design but PC is garbage
By Hammy

About Me Parent Of Two Or More Children, Working Parent
Comments about Little Tikes Young Explorer™:
The design is very cute, I like it a lot and I can see how kids would be engaged. But the PC isn't worth near the asking price and is already out dated. Kids need better performance and better graphics to keep their interest up just like adults. Drop the garbage PC and let me put my own in, at the very least add a touch screen. But drop the PC, really. Sell the shell.

TOO Costly
By George

About Me Education Oriented, Grandparent, Parent Of Two Or More Children, Stay At Home Parent, Working Parent
This is heavy and bulky. My kids and grand kids are not that taken with it so i consider it a waste of money. It won't bring that much at a yard sale if it gets many more dings in it.

My students cant get enough. if and when our computer is off, they are quick to inform the classroom teachers so that it can be turned on and used after morning meeting.

i work in an early childhood center with 2-5 yr olds. our 3-5 yr olds love this little tikes explorer computer. one on one work, parallel play, cooperative play, the activities provided within the explorer make it all possible. interactive with children and "talks" to them, which is their favorite!!!

Our kids love it. I need to monitor it so they don't spend too much time on it.

DRONE
By Chod

About Me First Time Parent, Working Parent
Great, i love the product, however, i do think that it is training my kids to be drones in cubicles when they turn into adults, they should want more than that, i'm a lawyer and my partner is an engineer, so we frown upon the cubical concept.

Absloutely worth [$]
By Gramps the Woodworker

About Me Grandparent
For [$] this is perfect. For [$] you could do MUCH better buying individual toys and computers for your child. Like any other computer-based appliance, this will go out of style in a VERY short time. Once the kids have nicked it up a bit, it sure won't bring much at the garage sale. As a woodworker and former computer programmer, I will be building something much more functional for my grandchildren.

Fantastic
By Babs
from Cleveland OH
We have our Little Tykes in the childrens' area of our library. The children that come in are drawn to it immediately. It provides great parent child interaction and the kids love it. The design tells them that it's something just for them and the pre-loaded programs are just right to make learning fun.
