After so many years of the turtle being around you would think the makers would find away to attach the lid to the turtle. We have had to rig ours so that we wouldn't lose the cover and have cats get into it.

Our granddaughter loves her turtle sandbox and the 3 little turtles that came with it. We hid her Easter eggs in it (as it was an Easter gift)and she had a blast. Her parents were very happy with it also since her dad had one as a child and it brought back good memories.

I got this for my 4 y/o for Easter and he LOVES it. All the neighborhood kids are at my house playing in it daily. I love the imagination it brings out in them. From building volcanos to monster truck ramps and everything in between. It takes a lot to tear kids away from the tv these days and make them use their imagination but this does the trick. I would HIGHLY recommend it

It is a great toy for sometime in the sand and outside. It is way to small...only 1 child can fit in it and it is very expensive [$]. It needs to be bigger and made a little sturdier. Little Tikes toys are usually really good...not this one.

I found that 100 lbs of sand was enough which left room to keep the toys in the sand when the lid was closed. As previously stated, it would be great to have some type of locking system so that rocks or bricks don't have to be put on the top.

My child got this sandbox as a gift from her grandparents. At first we wanted to get the classic box, but then I saw the "moat" around this updated version and couldn't pass it up! My child LOVES water and this is a really fun way to let her explore water in a safe environment.

The toys are really fun too - small, but not too small for a 13 month old. Great toy!!!!

Since it is winter in Northern Michigan its sitting in the living room with cars in it instead of sand . Small cars go where the water goes and its a race track. A pillow in the middle makes it a nice nap spot, until it can go outside for a sand box.

Because this special 33rd anniversary design looked just like the sandbox for which Little Tikes is well-known, I assumed the size was the same. It is almost too small for ONE 3 year old let alone 2 toddlers. Very disappointed. Wish I wouldn't have purchased it. if you want SMALL..this is for you.

First pleasure came when nearly 3 year old helped open the box and spotted the big eyes and saw that it was a turtle. He carried the shell to his chosen location and showed it to everyone who came in the yard during his visit. It looks as if it will last well. Only water play this visit.
