My 3 year old, Aidan, loves this truck! I made the mistake of letting him ride it around the house since it was cold out when we first got it (crazy Chicago weather) and now he drives it everywhere in the house. I don't really mind because it's plastic and it makes him so happy how can I take it away! Aidan drives it to the stairs when he needs to go up or down and he parks it there waiting for him. He has taken it in the bathroom with him to wash his hands, into the kitchen and had a corndog and sippy cup in it, and he even cleans it with wet wipes! Oh and the first night he even wanted it in his bedroom!
We have played with outside too and he has brought it over to all the neighbors to show them. He drives it like there is no tomorrow! He even makes siren noises! The truck wheels glide perfectly and the steering wheel works great too. We haven't added water yet to the water tank yet, but I am sure that will be a hit when the weather warms up here. It is also roomy in there and not a tight fit.
As for assembly, the Little Tikes directions were awesome. It even mentioned an online video for assembly but my husband had no problems putting it together in about 15 minutes. I will say though if you are ordering this online as a surprise or present, it does come shipped in the actual Little Tikes box, not a brown cardboard box so it will be seen.
Overall, this Fire Truck is more than a hit in my house. My 22 month old has played in it a little bit and enjoys it, but that is only when I can pry my 3 year out! I was especially surprised too that Aidan likes it so much as I didn't realize he is that into fire trucks, so this is not just for fire truck lovers!

My 2 yr loves it but I don't think she'll use it for too long since it is small. The tank is great however, the hose bends and will eventually break because it always bends at the SAME place. There isn't a hook to keep the hose on so it doesn't bend. Kids will not pay attention to how the hose is placed. Issue #2, if you remove the tank, the fire truck can fall back, not totally safe. I still recommend it but emailed Little Tykes to see what can be done about the hose. Also air is escaping the pump handle, for some reason? We've only had this for a month! Disappointing.

With 4 little boys my daughter-in-law loves toys they can all play with together. The fire truck is great! They have races on the driveway with other cars and bikes, older ones push the younger one,or they take turns putting out imaginary fires with the fire hose.

This gift was an absolute hit with our two-year-old grandson; however, there are two problems to watch out for: (1) when the water tank is full, the fire engine can tilt backward and its "eyes" can hit a child in the face and (2) the seal on the water tank isn't tight enough so pumping must be nearly continuous. Still, this has provided much fun and we are pleased with it.

My 2.5 year old wanted a fire truck for Christmas and I looked at all the motorized ones until I found this. It's perfect. I like that it uses foot power so I don't have to charge a battery, and the little pump and hose are cute. They don't spray large amounts of water, but just enough to make pretending fun.

My grandson loves this! The water tank was a added bonus and this GMa is glad they made the water pressure low as he LOVES to squirt me. He giggles with delight that we have armed him with a hose.

He got it for Christmas from Santa and was not interested in opening other gifts, because he loved this so much. It worked as an inside toy in the beginning, now he is watering flowers and spray down his play house. Prefect toy for a 2 year old boy.

Excellent Customer SErvice by Connie Chakford. We recieved the package and when we put it together it was missing the decals. Emailed Little Tykes and immediately got an email from Connie saying she would 2 day mail the decals. Got them in time for a wonderful Christmas. Grandson LOVED his fire truck! Great gift.
