I read reviews about this product that said it was hard to assemble and pieces were missing so I ordered it early for a x-mas gift for my 3 year old son. It took two hours to assemble and all pieces were there. My son plays for hours on end with this kitchen set. Infact I have found my 6 year old son playing with it also on several occasions.

We bought this little tikes kitchen to update the one we had for the last 9 years. All I have to say is major mistake. The durablity of the plastic sucks! Not like the sets of 9 years ago where it was heavy duty. My husband spent well over an hour trying to get the knobs on this thing. Had I know the plastic was cheap all around I would not have paid the money for this. I would have stayed with the old set. My son even broke the door off of this just the other day and we bought it for a christmas gift for our 2 year old daughter. This is not the type of quailty I expect to see from Little Tikes. Had it not been a christmas gift I would of returned.

    had to call little tykes since no one responded to my email and Cliff said that they are sending me a replacement refrigerator door for the kitchen. I really appreciate that. The box was very damaged in shipping and that could have been the cause, but I paid over $170 for that kitchen and it all should work. Thanks for your help, and I hope to get the replacement refrigerator door soon. My grandson is slightly handicapped, and this was his 3rd birthday present.

                The realistic grill is awesome! I love that it features both a gas and electric burner on the stove. The color scheme is neutral enough that it blends into our living room much better than some other toys.
                My only suggestion would be to have actual working buttons on the microwave rather than just a sticker overlay.

                It took about 2 adults about 3 hours to assemble. And a cordless screwdriver (not mentioned in the description). A regular screwdriver was too difficult to break through the hard plastic. But after we got it assembled, it looks great and sturdy. And has very little storage for any accessories my daughter had before. We had to buy her something for storage.

                    After comparing several brands of play kitchens, I decided on the Little Tikes Sizzle & Serve kitchen as a gift for my 2 year old grandson and his baby sister for Christmas. It was definitely a good choice. It is sturdy and realistic. It even makes sizzling and cooking noises. He absolutely loves it and spends hours cooking up food for everybody. It is very durable and should last until his baby sister is old enough to enjoy it--and beyond. I would definitly recommend this product to others with young children.
