Music has been a big deal in our home for years. I have been a guitarist for 32 years now so to say we love music in our household is an understatement.
I have two girls in college who never really became that interested in playing an instrument and sadly I never pushed it enough. My wife and I decided to have one more child (insane in our 40's I know) and my 9 month old daughter just loves this guitar.
There is nothing complicated about it and she really likes to pull and hit the strings and push the buttons. She prefers dad's guitars more so, however; there just to big for her right now and I can't let her loose with one. The guitar also has some classic tunes on it which was nice. Even though the toy is designated for 2+ years, my 9 month old handles it with ease. Sturdy, durable, a must buy for anyone wanting to immerse their children in music.

I had bought this for my 4yr old, when it came to the house it had 2yr old recommendation which is not what it is listed on the site, he gave it directly to the baby (19mths) who did play with it. I would recommend looking at it at the store before buying it is small for younger kids I think 2yrs is really pushing it though, so anyone younger a good buy but not older.

    My son loves to run around and put on performances for everyone. The only thing I would change is allow a bit more free play.. but for a 3 year old.. its perfect. It keeps his attention and he dances along as he plays.. He even takes it to bed at night like a security blanket. He absolutely loves his guitar!

        The items were added to our musical instrument collection at our preschool/childcare center.
        The children are eager to use these guitars daily.
        Even when the guitars have no batteries the children imitate and create their own music. A must for early childhood programs. We do have to put them up high or we would hear the music all day!
