My 2 1/2 year old grandson absolutely loves his "store" -- I knew that he would!!! He loves to play "store" at our local children's museum -- and his "store" is even nicer. He can "close the store" by rolling down the "awning" and "write" the specials on the board. We use it obviously for fun -- but also in learning about money, healthy foods and meal planning. It is a very popular toy with his friends as well -- and it is such fun watching them take turns being the shopper and the "store person". We have "upgraded" the food selections as well as the cash register -- and it is a perfect complement to the kitchen he got last Christmas!

I thought this was going to be so cool! As a family childcare provider, I look to purchase toys that will last for many years to come. We received this and it is not all that big! Infants/toddlers are able to stand up to it and play with it too. Bigger preschool children are too big to see under the curtain. The doors are flimsey and do come off easily as well as the knobs that roll up and down the curtain the kids are able to pull them off. It's still a neat product, but not nearly as big as it looks in the catalog and online.

    As soon as our three year old g-daughter saw it she named it Fruit and Snacks. It has since been a pizza parlor, and a jewlery store. We have had endless hours of fun, imaginative play.

      My kids are ages 3 and 17 months and love to play with the market together. My younger child enjoys sorting the items in the store while my older child takes turns playing cashier and shopper. This items goes great with the shopping cart to create a true shopping experience. Its great construction allows for maximun play in a minimun amount of space. The best part for the kids was the blackboard sign which allow for a personalized touch. They loved seeing their names on their store! We also got vinyl season stickers so the kids could decorate their store for different holidays.

      Overall, I am satisfied with the quality and performance of the market. My boys (ages 2 and 3) enjoy playing with it; however, the sliding doors are a no go, as they slide off the track too easily. Needless to say, we've put them away for now.
      Although I assembled the market by myself, I highly recommend having a second person to assist. The pictorial instructions weren't clear, and it would have been easier to have the holes pre-drilled.

      My daughter got this from Santa. She loves to go grocery shopping!! We did not put the glass doors on it though- because it seems easier just to grab things out of the bins. She got a "Learning Resources" cash register with it and a shopping cart. She loves the learning resources cash register because it beeps, has money, has a credit card and it completes her store. The cash register that comes with this product is junk, however, it is nice that is comes with play food. It is not as sturdy as I would like- for her it is fine, but my nine month old boy continually tries to stand up to it and he can push it. My daughter does love the pretend play and has done a lot of shopping so far :)
