While I love just about everything about this toy, and have convinced others to buy one for each child in their life, I would like to make the following recommendations:1) It would be great if it had a little fold out side table so that the kids could have a "prepping" area. We put it next to the kids picnic table so they use that but there really is no where to actually make and design the cakes without being in the way of another child wishing to mix mud;2) I also agree that the drain leaves much to be desired and it is heavy and akward to tip over to dump out, especially in view of the fact that the mixer and faucet are being pushed into the ground when tipped over;3) I would love it if it were either a little taller or the height could be adjusted. Older kids like making mud too and it's a little short for them. 4) I agree that the pump can be hard to operate since the water has to be forced up the tube and out the faucet, although I'm not sure what could be done to change this design.All in all, I would buy this product again and again especially considering it's a [$] toy that has provided HOURS of creative and messy fun!

My three year old got this as a birthday gift and we set it out for her birthday party. The kids loved it and played with it for HOURS, but at the end of the day, the mixer was stripped out. My suggestions would be to save it for smaller children as the older kids were really too hard on it, and use dirt instead of sand that will mix easier and not put so much strain on the mixing gear. Also, with four or five kids on it at one time, the sink would not stay on the legs and they eventually just took the sink off and set it on the ground. I think it is best suited for preschoolers and toddlers, and only two or three kids at a time. The good news, however is that Little Tikes sent us a new part right away when I called, without even requiring the receipt to be sent in - no questions asked. Great outdoor play product as long as you don't mind the mess! It also hoses off really easily at the end of the day.

      My 18 month old got this from Santa this year and he and my 3 1/2 year old son played with it for about 2 hours non-stop. It was fun seeing them work together to make the mud-pies. I would recommend this to any parent with one or more kids.

          The kids just love this toy. From the little 12 month old I watch to a 7year old boy...they love to make mudpies. The parents dont mind that their kids are "messy" I just have extra clothes for them. Little kids really really NEED to play with mud and manipulate this kind of toy. It is open ended for sure! Thank you Little Tykes! I will soon be ordering a play house...gotta save up!

          My twin 2-year-olds love this, especially that the sink has water! My concerns are that the pump to make the water come out of the sink is too hard for them to push and that this faucet doesn't seem to sturdy - the kids pull on it and I am worried it may break off soon, but has not done so yet. Overall a great buy that they are crazy over!

          The idea behind this toy is great, my boys are 4 and 5 and were so excited to get this. The problem is the faucet... if any dirt gets in the pump area, it will not function. We had to take it apart within the first 10 minutes of use to get the dirt out. The red push handle will not go down if dirt is in it. We have had it standing without the faucet since the day I assembled it and the kids use it all the time that way.
          The second issue is the height.... it is way too short for my 4 and 5 year olds, as someone else suggested maybe it should come with adjustable legs.
          Great idea, perfect for boys or girls but needs a few updates.

          My daughters, 2 and 4, have had agreat time with this product and use it everyday. I bought a bag of topsoil so they can scoop what they need. They both have a hard time using the water pump, esp. the 2 year old, so we keep the hose handy next to it. The pump itself is just tough to press down on...like it sticks. They don't mind using the garden hose.
