This is a great toy for that hard to buy for age of 2. Most things are either too young developmentally or too old safety-wise so it's great when you can find a toy specifically for this age. The vehicles are just the right size for small hands and the track goes together easily and stays together nicely. The crane is easy to use, causing very little frustration. It's a generous-sized toy and well worth the price. I would definitely recommend this as a really nice gift.

I saw this on Facebook and couldn't wait to get it for my 2 yr old son. It's pretty easy to assemble and we've had it outside and now we've brought it inside. The tracks don't snap together and hold together very well. I see other people are saying quite the opposite so maybe I got a bad batch? My biggest complaint is that the little trains don't couple up very well which is infuriating to my son. I think the trucks and trains are kinda cheaply designed. For the price it's really pretty good I just wish the trains could hook together better. Is there going to be any extra vehicles that could be purchased for this set? That would be nice but until then I've bought some little cars(I think that they're called Fisher Price Wheelies and they work pretty well with the tracks) In the long run, I'm glad I bought it and I think I'm gonna buy one for my friends kids.

    i bought this for my nephew's 4th birthday he loves anything to do with construction i wished it would have made it here in time for his construction birthday party today but it's not going to be here b4 Tuesday .i am also going to buy one for my cousins son in July for his 3rd birthday this is a great product wish there was add-ons

        The train tracks are great, they interlock easily and stay interlocked, however the truck pieces do not stay connected, just bumping them causes them to fall apart. Also the hooks on the vehicles aren't tall enough, the cars can never make it around the track without coming apart. The crane is difficult for the children to maneuver, that applies to my 3, 4 and 5 year olds. It is compatible with the older Little Tykes Mountain railway though. The children now only use the train because the cars/tracks frustrate them too much.

        I saw this product and thought it would be perfect for my son's 2nd birthday. Nothing stays snapped together and it is so frustrating. I let him play with the main mountain part with the boulders and we use other trucks from another set we had. I put the track pieces away because they end up all over the house, and since the train and trailers don't stay together, they are packed away with the track. I like the concept of the toy, but wouldn't buy this again unless they change the design.

          Our son is 20 months and he recieved this present for Christmas. He loves it. It works in lots of different ways (trains/truck/crane/tracks). He needs help to set it up and we've only figured out 1 format that works well for all tracks to be used, but he loves putting it together and taking it apart. He enjoys running the train on the bare floors and he likes to make actions sounds for it as he uses it!

          The assembly is straightforward, but still tricky to get all the screw holes lined up. Perhaps ours was bent from the box, but it took both my husband and I to line everything up and start screwing it together and even then we had edges popping out that had to be "re-bent" to fit in place again so it could all be screwed together. Now that it is together our daughters all love playing with it- ages ranging from 2-6. Seems to be holding up well, but the tracks can "pop out" of place easily. Maybe over time it will "settle" and become more stable.

          We bought this for my 5 year old for Christmas, but both he and his little brother (23 mos.) enjoy playing with the trucks, trains, and boulders. It's very big, which is good, but we had to find a "special" place to keep it when they aren't playing with it. Overall, it was one of his favorite gifts and one that I think they'll both enjoy for awhile.

            I bought this for my 20 month old son and he enjoys it very much. The only down fall of this item is that the train has a hard time staying together. I wish the train would somehow snap together instead of just hooking together by a hook because the hooks do not do a good job of staying on the train.
