      My 2 year old really enjoyed the tiger piano and would play along as I did on our piano. I would caution parents to pay attention to this toy as it takes the drops and bumps of normal toddler play. Ours fell from a coffee table and the snout portion shattered and the entire head has spider web cracks. Now it is garbage but we did enjoy it for 5 months.

      The tones of the 8 bars should form a major scale. However, this xylophone is not tuned properly, so, when some of them are struck, they make an unpleasant flat/sharp tone.

      My daughter is 2 years old.. and as we walked through[...] to get a Baby Shower gift, we passed this toy... she started freaking out, and I honestly didnt believe what I heard .. she asked for the "Tiger Xylophone" so of course her Aunt bought it for her immediately based on pure principle that she knew what it was called. Not an easy word for a 2 year old by any means.We took it out of the box a few days later.. and of course I have no receipt and the box was torn to shreds during the opening process...but when I tried to play her a song from the song sheets, I realized that the "RE" and "MI" keys sounded identical... sooo no songs for us. Awaiting an answer for Little Tikes on a solution for this.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      This was probably our son's favorite toy for Christmas! I want to teach him the piano when he's older, so this is a good start!

      My big complaint is that the third note (colored blue/green) is flat, so none of the tunes sound right. Is there a way to order a replacement note?

        Bought this for my daughter for Christmas last year; she was about 14 months old. It has gotten a LOT of play over the last year, both by her and her older cousins (7-11)! It's nice having both the xylophone and piano in one toy, instead of having to take up room for two. It's been quite durable, surviving getting dropped many times. Regarding another reviewer's comments about no music cards, ours were printed on the box, we just had to cut them out.

        The only con to this toy is that I wish the strings for the xylophone sticks were a bit longer, but I know that's probably intentional to avoid being a strangulation hazard.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          My daughter got this for her birthday. She likes tapping away aimlessly at this, but it didn't come with any music cards. I was able to find 4 songs on the lil tykes website, but I would like it if there were more available.
