It also is compact enough to not take up my entire yard. The assembly was a bit difficult. With the pieces having to fit together there was a couple of instances where we needed to get creative with how to "bang" the pieces together. We've been wanting something like this for our two girls for a while now: our older daughter just turned 3 and the younger one is not quite 1 year old yet. Overall, I am pleased that we have this swingset and climber in our backyard. The 3-year-old seems very interested in exploring all its little nooks and crannies, and the 10-month-old is certainly fascinated, though not quite ready to explore it yet. I think the girls will have a great time with this unit, but it has some fairly serious problems.

PROS
1. Relatively inexpensive, for how much play equipment you get. It's not cheap, but for all the stuff it comes with, it's a nice price.
2. Looks like fun! Some great colors, makes our friends' kids want to come over and play.
3. Perfect for little ones. Our not-yet-walking daughter has plenty of places to play on this, and the small slide is a great size for a little one just getting up the courage to slide.

CONS
1. As others have said, the assembly is not easy. In addition, the instructions are not very clear. We had to undo and redo various steps a number of times, thanks to vague instructions. I still don't really understand how the anchors work... I found a way that seems sturdy, but the instructions are just lacking in information.
2. Some of the material is pretty shoddy. We just set this up 3 days ago, and while we were setting it up, a decent-sized crack appeared in the roof of the playhouse. Meanwhile, the floor of the playhouse is already warped after 3 days. I'm not too worried about structural integrity yet, but it seems a real shame that this would happen so quickly.
3. No steps. The only way up onto the equipment is a rope ladder, or a climb up onto a high (for a toddler) platform from the ground. So a smaller toddler (1 year old) has no way to get up on to the equipment by herself.
4. Serious swing issue. The swings just aren't centered between the supports, and they're quite close together. This means that one swing has lots of space, but the other swing is dangerously close to the playhouse, and my daughter hurt herself on that swing the very first time she used it, her hand clipped the house. I wouldn't use both swings at once... they swing and hit each other pretty easily. In addition, the swings have no mechanism to keep them from sliding around on the ropes, so they're crooked most of the time.

I have more thoughts about it, but those are the major ones. I do think my girls will have a great time playing with this unit, and they'll find a lot to do on it for at least a few years. So I'm pleased in that way... lots of fun for them. But there are some real problems in the construction of the plastic, and in the design of the thing itself. I give it a "maybe" recommendation.

This play set is a great toy. My 2 year old daughter loves it, and shows no signs of getting bored with it. It is safe place for our small girl to play, unlike some plastic toys. We don't regret buying it at all.

But my husband and I wasted a long time trying to understand incomplete instructions that rely on poorly drawn diagrams with little to no words. And many of the pieces that had to be forced together required that my 200 pound, muscular husband sit or jump on them; together, we were still not strong enough to wedge some of the pieces. We ransacked our garage looking for things to use as wedges to get the bridge onto the platform.

My only regret is not hiring someone else to put it together.

    We received this playset as a gift when our son was 2 1/2. He is now almost 5 and our daughter is 2. It is very sturdy and is still in very good condition. When my son first got it, he had trouble with the rope ladder, but my daughter could use it just fine before her 2nd birthday. They both really like it and play with it every day. It has been a great way for my cautious older child to learn to use a big kid swing on a smaller set. They both swing together without any problem. I wish the slides were a little bigger, but I love that it is safe and close to the ground so I don't have to hover over the kids while they are playing. I would definitely recommend for ages 1-6.

        My 16 mos old son loves this playset. I love that he gets to climb as well as swing and not just one or the other. I'm having another baby in a couple of days so I'm glad there are two spots for swings so that they can swing together. My husband put it together with a littl help from his dad. They didn't encounter any problems during the process. It's a wonderful playset that I know my family will enjoy for years!

        My daughter / son-in-law bought this for their children and it has been PERFECT! They bought it when the oldest was a baby-she's 4 now. I bought (separately - at [@]) 2 Little Tikes plastic blue toddler swings for it and the kids LOVE to swing in them! They are holding the big kid swings for later - likely soon! They don't need steps for the slides - they are supposed to climb up to the slides from the tunnel type openings. This swing set is 3 years old and has survived 114 degree temperatures to 0 degree temp, as well as hail and deep snow. It's been outside the entire 3 years. EXCELLENT quality and value. LOVE IT! I don't know if it was difficult to assemble since I didn't do any of that. I only know that the grandkids LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Hearing their laughter and giggles and screaming for joy - "FASTER, SWING ME FASTER!" is priceless! Highest possible recommendations. This is THE BEST SET we found!
