    My son is 16 months old and we use it for him to play with cars and crayons in the living room. He loves it and uses it often. I am glad to have a tough, ergonomic play surface that is made for a toddler to bang on and make messes. (Although the table top is too small a surface for the train sets.) He did manage to scratch and color it within a couple of days, but that is what it is for! I chose this table because it was the easiest to store (it is 5 inches thick when flattened) and could be used either inside or outside. It is quite easy to put up and down, and takes no effort to move around or slide under the bed to get it out of the way. It is very light weight which is great for me to move it and store it, but my son also moves it around the room, and sometimes it slides away from him accidentally. Sometimes he starts climbing on it, so I just put it away for a day. An older, more experienced climber would not worry me because the table is not "tippy", but at 16 months, he still falls easily. He is learning how to use it safely. Another nice thing is that when the table is collapsed, it is a sturdy, large flat surface closer to the floor, so we sometimes use it in that configuration as well. Overall, I am quite pleased with the purchase.

    The advertised picture of this table showed 4 children and said it was for ages up to 5. When we put it together, there is no way 2 children could sit side by side on the bench comfortably. It absolutely would not fit 4 or 5 year olds because the kneehole was so low; hard to climb in and out of. My child is 2 and we could only have used this table for a year at the most. I returned it and plan to purchase the bigger picnic table in the catalog.

                              My wife and I bought 2 of these Picnic Tables with Umbrellas -- one to keep at our house, on for my son's house. Our grandson is 16 months old and immediately took to the table. He eats at it, draws on it, plays with toys on it, and much more. Very sturdy and durable. He loves pushing it around, when indoors, like a wagon. He just loves it and so do we.
