I think this playhouse is plenty sturdy. I do wish the arch over the slide was higher, but my 10 month old daughter just figured out how to crawl through it! She tried again today but couldn't remember to duck under the arch and started crying b/c she was just bumping her head into it. The arch above the window should be padded b/c if she is trying to get something that she dropped out the window, she bangs the top of her head into the hard plastic edge. I sit with her while she plays so i can distract her so she'll stop. She loves to play peek a boo with me through the shutters. She did pinch her hand trying to close the one shutter while the other one was shut.. i had to remove her hand and it had a white line from being squeezed in the shutters. There is a hole design in the shutters, but she didnt pull the shutter closed there. She loves to sit outside of it and play with the mailbox and doorbell. The telephone is great and has 3 languages. Get a playmat to put under it, like a tummy time mat fits perfect. She puked in it and the mat made for easy clean up. They should include one! She loves to pull up on the handle to the phone. When she gets bigger though I could see her toppling over it. Also, the front door does not latch, so when using with a younger baby, even my 10 month old, i have been using a baby grand piano to anchor and block the door opening. She likes it because she can play with her piano at the same time. She could get hurt by toppling out through the door until she is strong enough to crawl in/out. She just now started playing with the ball return feature. It is cute. Overall this playhouse is great but use with supervision. Oh and I put her tummy time pillow behind her as she sits in it otherwise she can fall back and hit her head on the slide. Last week she was pulling up on the phone toy and then let go. Her dad said good job to me for having that pillow behind her. It saved her head from hitting that plastic slide!

I bought this for my son's first birthday. My husband and I spent two hours piddling and playing as we put it together. Assembly wasn't difficult, but was a time investment. I really think my son will love playing with it. However, within 5 minutes of having it completely assembled, my husband began pushing the phone buttons. Here's what we have learned from a toy that PROMOTES learning.1 = three3 = one4 = six6 = four7 = nine9 = sevenReally!? Highly disappointed in Little Tikes quality control on this one. My answer below depends on how LT handles my complaint on Monday morning. I'm hoping it's a simple fix that doesn't require much effort and hurdle jumping on my end.

Comments about Little Tikes DiscoverSounds® Activity Garden:
This was the perfect gift for my 1 year old granddaughter. It was easy to put together. There are so many different things for her to play with. She liked the sounds of the telephone and the piano keys. She liked throwing the balls out and then would climb out to get them and start all over. My son said he had never heard her giggle as much as she did that day. It is very interactive. My 3 year old grandson loved it too. The two of them played for hours. I highly recommend this product. It is a great value.

I purchased this toy for my home daycare. The children love it. The slide area could be a little taller. I have a 9month old and he almost can't fit.

We purchased this as a first birthday present for our daughter. It's been so much fun! She goes to her "house" several times a day to play with different activities. And her brothers can engage in interactive play with her, too. We couldn't be happier!

This was a first birthday present for our baby girl. Her 5 year old twin sisters actually love it too and enjoy helping their little sis play with all of the engaging activities. It is fun to watch the three of them interact together. The baby loves to crawl into the activity garden and sit and play with the balls and push the buttons that give a response. This is a fun and engaging activity center.

About Me Education Oriented
I purchased this for a new infant in my daycare program and all of my other 5 children (All 3yrs old)love to play with it. Only one piece is kind of flimsy, comes apart when picking it up to move it, but it doesn't keep it from working properly. We love this toy!

The activity garden has many wonderful features. My 11-month old twins love the door, mailbox, window shutters, and the balls and shapes that come with this product. The main drawback is that the structure is too small and lightweight. If it were scaled a little larger, it would be ideal. (For example, the slide is only a few inches tall, and my babies have to squat down to look through the window.)
