Terrible assembly but kids enjoy

    My 2 yr old received as gift, Very Frustrating assembly & instructions;I have older kids and assembled & built many toys as well as over 25 yrs in construction & this was by far most frustrating. Was new out of box & scratches on car & gave us 2 Right "top hat corners" both marked "R" but according to directions supposed to "Match right 'R' and left 'L' top hat covers to correctly marked sides of the truck". Tough to do when you have two that both say "R". The "Top Hat" fittings that you have to line up on the axles & pound with hammer were very tricky to secure & questionable as to how long it will hold. Bottom line kids having fun with it, at least so far. Have other Little Tykes toys & don't remember having these issues.

    We bought this for our son when he was 18 months old based on the ability to remove the floor pannel as he grew. He is bigger now and can reach the floor to drive himself. The trunk with working talegate is a blast to load and unload.we did fight with assembly and getting the drivers side door in place but all in all this has been a wonderful truck for him!

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    I used to buy lot of things online because i do not have time for shopping. Most of the time i was disappointed about quality of products.     Got this for my grandson for Christmas - he loves it. Even the horn sounds
    Like a semi. The one thing I would change is that when kids are little they
    Have trouble seeing over the eyes.

    I do like the floor board for little ones that can't reach the ground yet and
    He has so much fun with the gas cap - opening and closing.

    What I didn't like was the assembly - and the door had scratches all over
    The plastic (where is their inspectors?) and a few scratches on the other
    Plastic parts - this should not be happening after all this is made here in
    The USA - expected better quality on shipping the plastic parts.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
