My son LOVES his car. My friend's daughter has one and every time we go to her house the first thing my son does is run to the car. So we decided to get him one for Christmas. I never in a million years thought it would've been so hard to put together. My husband and father-in-law spent over an hour trying to assemble. The roof did not have the holes it needed to lock the back braces into place. They had to to make them. The whole time my son was trying to get in it and was very upset. Thinking it was just our car, I called my friend and they had the same issue with their car last Christmas.....long assembly time and had to make holes where they should've been. Based on that I would've given 2 stars BUT after it was all put together and my son was able to play with it, it made it worth all the trouble. Be prepared to take some time putting together- it isn't as easy as the instructions and instruction video make it out to be. Overall it is a great toy and has provided hours of fun already!

Nightmare assembly

My husband & I purchased this item for our 22 month old grandson as an early b-day gift. Our daughter can't get him out of the neighbor's little car. We figured we give it to him now while it's not bitter cold out yet to play outside. His birthday is 12/30. Had we known what assembly was like, we would NOT have made the purchase. I have put together more toys over the years than I care to recall, but I have NEVER encountered a toy that was this much of a nightmare assembly. The instructions were worthless. Steps 5 & 6 were out of sequence, most of the pictures were unclear as to what exactly you were supposed to do, there was a misprint in identifying a part in step 4, most of the pieces did fit properly & had to be forced - especially the front pillar posts for the roof. The rear axle had to filed on the one end as it was too large & would not go trough ANY of the wheels. These are just SOME of the problems we had. It took over 4 hours & I am very adept at putting things together & fixing machines. We had to take the front wheels apart 3 times to get them right. Still not sure They are right, they don't seem to roll smoothly. Hopefully, they'll do better outside. By the time we got it together, the little guy was in bed!! Then I start reading reviews on line & see something about a video?? There is NOTHING in the directions about a video on line if you need futher help. I have never been so frustrated with a product in all my years. For all this work, it had better last!

        I bought this for my first grandson and we could not get him out of it. It was nice that we could take him outside and not have to chase him all over. We could sit and watch while he went up and down the driveway, went pretend shopping, through the fast food line and stopped for gas. The cupholders are great, not only for his special "travel mug", but his "travel mates" as well. Even though it is now a few years old, he still refers to it as "my new car". My daughter loaned the car to my son when they had company from abroad (big, big hit, BTW) and his little gal, age 7 months, has claimed it for herself. She plays with it everyday. She uses it to pull herself to a standing position and can open and close the door and gas tank; something she finds quite amusing. Her parents take her for a ride in it every day and it is comical to see the look on her face because she thinks she is really steering it. She has the steering figured out! I just returned from buying the Princess Cozy Coupe so we can return the first car to it's rightful family.

            I have concerns because of the fact that the car tips over very easily as my twenty month old grandson tries to get out of it! The Cozy Coupe needs to be wider and the wheels need to be lower to prevent this from happening!

              Aside from my toddler being a daredevil and trying to be like a character on the Dukes of Hazzard show, we adore the Cozy Coupe. My son was really sick this past Christmas and when we brought him down in the morning, he ran straight for the Cozy Coupe and sat in it for hours. He has a unique driving style which is very humorous. We keep it indoors for play because we live in the city without a lot of safe outdoor play area. Easy to clean for mom and fun to ride in for my child. Assembly was slightly more involved than we thought it would be, but watching my son play in it for hours makes it worth it.

                I put this together for my grandson today and afterwards, found out that screws were suppose to go into the back support and top. It looks like half of my instructions were missing. I went on line and reviewed video 2 that showed the correct assembly for the top and back supports, how to install the hood ornament, floor and steering wheels. I'm glad that I have a computer but what about those that don't? Maybe this product will last a long time and maybe my grandson will enjoy it but Little Tikes need to have a talk with their manufacturer to make sure all instructions are provided.

                  My daughter had one of these when she was little, and now this is for her son. It is a GREAT toy, but it is nearly impossible to put together. I have put many things together in my life, but this wa rediculous. The printed instructions are useless, and I had to watch the video to get it done. That wasn't that great either, but it saved me. Surely there has to be a better way or have it asseembled further in the box.

                    I can push my grandson when the floorboard is in, but he can power it with his feet when the floorboard is out. The front of the coupe fits exactly into the frame of my son's snowplow, so my grandson enjoys "plowing the driveway."
