At first I was so attacted to this toy for my kids (my youngest and 5 other kids that are in my homedaycare) and picked it other than chosing a few other options. While we still like the look... There are a few problems... 1. the main door does not have a handle so the kids can get "locked out or in". 2. main door is a bit small but that's not a big deal. 3. the one we got was worped so it was really hard to put together, we had a total of 3 men and 2 woman (once the men got involved we were pretty much out of the picture) and it still took all afternoon 4. and my biggest concern, is that the wall against the slide is not even, it sticks out so that when the kids are going down the slide (especially the smaller ones) their arms get hit against the corner of the wall and they complain that it hurts. You really don't want a toy to hurt... for sure!!! I love little tikes stuff and have been buying their toys since 1996 when my eldest son was born. We have an huge selection but this one is by far our least fav. for sure!

I purchased this castle for my child care center. The kids LOVE it! Assembling the product was extremely difficult and frustrating. We ended up using a bar clamp to squeeze the walls into place.

My son loves his castle. I had one growing up and remember it fondly and I am so glad my son and daughter will have this for years. The only con is the assembly. This thing was SOOOO hard to put together. My husband and I were determined to put it together, but make sure you have 3-4 hours for assembly as it takes that long to get the pieces together. Good luck with assembly!!!!!

This took my husband and I a while to put together. Getting the final piece to snap into place was a nightmare. But it was totally worth it. My kids have played with this every day since it arrived. Just be patient with the assembly.
20 years later i still love this!

I purchased this when I was pregnant with my first son who was born 20 years ago! Four kids and countless childcare children later I still love it. I've moved it 8-9 times and its done great. You do need to have a somewhat level spot for it or the walls can come apart. The fireplace "door" has worn out and falls off more then it opens but you just pop it back in and it and keep going. Most of the 20 years it has been in a somewhat shady area and has weathered great from snow to 100 weather. You'll love it. My oldest two kids tease about taking it to thier homes when they have kids.
Outstanding!!!

My husband and I bought this for my little guys 2nd bithday gift. We love this castle and can't stop smiling when we see him playing in it. It's very sturdy, even my 7 year old can play in there with him. The only difficult thing about assembly is snapping the pieces together. My husband is 245lb & very muscular and it took him every muscle to jump and stomp on the connection pieces. With two of us it took just about an hour to get it together- but it was so worth it!!!
Good for 14 month old and up

About Me First Time Parent
My daughter is going on 14months and we purchased this for her 1st birthday. She likes climbing through the secret passage and going down the slide. I'm sure that she'll grow into the castle and be able to use the tower and climb onto the slide herself as soon as she grows some. Only downfall is that the door does't have a handle to open and close. We will install our own this summer. As far as assembly...not too bad. Although I only weigh 120 lbs and I couldn't snap the pieces into place, nor could my husband (165lbs). We needed a 200lb friend to be able to apply enough pressure to get it together. Otherwise it was simple.

The Classic Castle is an awesome addition to our church's toddler room. We bought and donated this to our church and the kids are enjoying it immensely. The quality is great and the structure is very sturdy. The only thing I would suggest in the making of the castle is to have the secret passage way open from the outside rather than the inside. I am watchful when the kids push that door open and there are little ones inside the castle because I don't want them to get hit with the door. Overall, this is a terrific product! I only wish that it was bigger so that we adults could get inside and play with the kids!

My kids are loving it

After a semi-difficult assembly, the kids are having the time of their lives on this. I have an 18mth, and a 2.5 year old and both can do all activities fine. It looks to be an item the kids will have for years. we have it indoors with carpet under it and haven't had any injuries. I am so enjoying hearing the squeals of delight. they like this even more than the pit stop they have been at non stop since christmas. thanks little tikes. you have done it again!
