This bed is great. The color is awesome and my 3 year old son loves it. He actually stays in his room all night now instead of coming in to our bed. Of course, there are nights my husband or I end up in bed with him, but even I can get a good nights sleep in this bed and feel rested in the morning. It is big, as others have said, and it does have a little space between the matress and sides of the bed, but I knew that before I purchased this, so I am not taking off stars for that. Also, it is a little expensive, but I still think it is well worth the money. I would buy it again without a single thought.

A wonderful first bed for my 2 1/2 yr old son. It came in four large pieces and took about half an hour to put together(I had to assemble it by myself). It is still a little high for my son to get in by himself, but with the help of a step stool, he can get in and out very easily on his own. Also, I loved that the sides at the head of the bed are a little higher, as it helps prevent him from falling out of the bed. There is some room around the mattress...on the good side it's very easy to change sheets and tuck in blankets; however, since my son is at the stage where he likes to sleep with toys, many of them fall through and end up at bottom of bed.

The bed looks great! I like that it's a twin and not a toddler bed that would be outgrown shortly. The shipment was missing a few bolts, but Little Tikes was quick to ship them once I called. [...] One of the wheels is bobbly. I'll have to wait and see how it holds up to use. If something major happens with it, I'll have to call the company again.

Perfect bed for transitioning from crib to "big girl" style bed because of the excitement factor and the high sides. It is impossible for my daughter to roll out accidently! The bed seems very sturdy and was quick to put together. Ran into one snag with aligning the screws but it worked out okay. The bed looks like it will last forever (until she wants a style change).

I bought this for my 21 mos old son who figured out how to get out of his crib. He's a major car fanatic! A friend suggested a car bed. After trying to find a used red one without success, I broke down and paid the price (kinda pricey in my opinion) because I new he'd love it. He is sleeping in it and is getting a kick out of it.
The red color is awesome and I like that if I only put a twin mattress in it, it sits low enough that the sides of the car help my son not to roll out. I havnt had it long enough to determine if it'll hold up, but it does feel sturdy. I climb in and out of it without breaking it, atleast.
What I dont like: It didnt come with instruction OR the hardware to put it together. I figured this was a mistake and if I didnt have a handyman for a husband I would have called someone to really complain, especialy for how much it cost! You can find the instructions online, but they dont really tell you how long of a screw you need. So my husband just measured it and found his own hardwre. He did put more in it than what would have called for, but he said its built like typlical little tyke palstic furniture and things dont always line up, so he wung it. And because its plastic, it does seem to feel chilly all the time. That other thing is there is a HUGE gap around the entire mattress when you put it in the bed. NOw, if you use a quilt this space is great to tuck the quilt in, but the space is not great when it comes to the head area. I put a bunch of pillows up there to keep him from getting an arm or leg stuck in there. Wont be such a big deal when he's bigger though. Even with those cons, I would buy again, because it IS really cool for a little boy (and his muscle car loving mom who also will sleep in it) ha ha. I wish it wasnt so much though.

I purchased the red racecar bed to set up a room at my house for my little 1 year old grandson. It's perfect! It's durable and fun -- a real winner!
