This is a great sand/water table, definitely worth the money. We got it for our son when he was around 18 months old and he enjoyed playing with it right from the beginning. He's now almost 3 and still loves it -- it is a fixture on our outdoor patio and it's his go-to thing to play with when we're outside. We use it as intended in the hot summer months (sand in one side, water in the other), but switch out the water for extra sand the rest of the year. We leave it out all winter (it's a covered patio) and just keep the covers on when it's not in use. We have never set up the umbrella with it since the patio's covered, but have used the umbrella for extra shade when we go to the beach, so it's still useful. The only thing that's worn out are a few of the elastic bands for keeping the covers on, but they're easy to replace. I would definitely recommend this product. So many things have a short lifespan with kids, but our son has gotten a ton of enjoyment from this, and still is.

I bought this table for my son's 2nd birthday party, which had a construction theme. The main piece, the crane, was a beast to assemble and it came off during the first few hours of play because the screws to hold it in place are not very long. The legs do not have predrilled holes for the long screws, so it was impossible to assemble this with just a plain screwdriver (as suggested by the instructions). I'm a woman so my know-how is plentiful but my strength is limited. I think they assume that dads will put this together, but such is not the case in our home. The toy itself is great and we got the idea to use other things like rice, beans and jello for another sensory play experience. Unfortunately, my son won't be able to crane the rice or lift any beans in the process.

I also think that, in 2012, every company should offer instructional videos on putting things together in addition to the instruction manuals, which are usually not very well written. The customer service is only open during hours when I'm at work and not putting together toys. I usually assemble late at night, when the kids are asleep. No one is open for questions at that hour but it'd sure be nice to visit a website and get an instructional video.

I love the design and the fact that it has shade with it! The backhoe attachment is a wonderful idea. My neice counldn't quit playing with it before it even had sand in it. I am going to be using this at my Day Care Center.

My two grandchildren (aged 2 and 3) love this table. It is large enough for both of them to play without bumping into each other. I love that they stand up to play...no sitting in sand to get into diapers! My only complaint is that the covers are not designed to keep rain water out so the sand is full of standing water, Not sure how to combat this, but I'm sure I will figure it out!

Bought this as a gift for my 2 year old son. Assembled it in 15 minutes before the party. We filled our table with 30# of dry white rice instead of sand and water. Let the kids play with it during the birthday party. It was so fun for everyone (many dads, uncles and papas were seen taking a turn at the crane!) We have laminate flooring so sweeping was required several times when the playing got really exciting but overall we love it. I have twin autistic 10 year old nephews who really enjoyed the sensation of the rice and the repetition of moving rice from one side to the other. We don't plan on putting our table outside at this time so I can't speak for the weather resistance or how the lids fit ( we did not attach ours, we just set them over the table when play time is over).

Got this for our sons second birthday. Needless to say he loved it. assembles real easy. Umbrella was missing but after an email to Little Tikes it arived 2 days later.

Not sitting in sand. Truck ramps are really fun. Crain just okay. Bridge needs to fit tighter as does fall off easy. Holds just right amounts sand and water and drains in 5 mins.
